Serving Our Community

The Serving Our Community honorees who we are about to meet have four things in common.
- They continually work to enhance their level of service,
- They bring a solutions-oriented approach to every challenge,

- They serve as role models to their colleagues.
Our first recipient is Mahnaz El-Kouedi, the Director of Academic Administration in the Program in Media Arts and Sciences in the School of Architecture and Planning. Mahnaz has contributed at a profound level to the MAS community, providing cohesion, clarity, and compassion at a tumultuous time. She’s been a primary force in transforming MAS into an exemplary academic program.
One colleague wrote, “She has had such a positive impact, while always exercising good judgment, positivity, warmth, and fairness. This award is a testament to how special she is and how invaluable her contributions are to our entire community.”
