The MIT Human Resources Center for WorkLife and WellBeing is committed to meeting the personal and professional needs of faculty, staff, postdocs, graduate students, and their families. We offer a wide range of programs and services to enhance your quality of life, both at home and at work.
Visit MIT Adult & Senior Care to access our Adult & Senior Care Services through Care.com, which are available to current benefits-eligible MIT faculty and staff, postdoc associates and postdoc fellows.
Visit MIT Backup Senior & Adult Care to learn more about, and register for backup adult care you can really trust, for medical appointments, transportation, meal preparation, medication prompting, assistance with bathing and dressing, etc.
You can access backup child care, provided by Care.com, in your home or at a licensed child care center, near your home or workplace.
Backup child care can assist when normal child care or school arrangements are disrupted by school closings, vacations, provider illness, or a child's mild illness. You have the following two backup child care options:
Care at your workplace or other meeting place seven days a week, 24/7, through Care.com
Care at a licensed care center near your home or work, through Care.com. These child care centers accept children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years and are available Monday through Friday, during daytime hours.
MIT faculty, staff, and postdoctoral associates and fellows can request up to 15 child care and/or adult care referrals per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) without being charged registration or placement fees.
Visit Child Care / Schools to explore the full range of child care resources and children’s programs available to you through your MIT Benefits, including child care centers, nannies and babysitters, after-school programs, temporary care providers, summer camps, and playgroups.
We support the parents and families in our MIT community at every stage of their child’s life.
