The New Hire's Experience

Learn about the new hire's experience below, including the components for which central HR is responsible.

New hire email notification

New Hires are sent an email notification after the hire transaction is processed in the HR system. The DLCI hire transaction initiator is also copied on the email notification. The email is customized based on the new hire’s appointment details and includes information for getting started at MIT.

Atlas for new hires

The HR New Hire Letter directs employees to visit Atlas for New Hires to obtain their electronic credentials.

Once new employees have obtained their credentials, they can access the Atlas for New Hires application, which provides an interactive interface to walk them through verifying their personal information and completing other major tasks:

Based on the details of their appointment, only tiles that are relevant to them will appear.

New hires status report

The New Hires Status Report is available to all HR Primary Contacts. It shows the activities your current new hires have yet to complete in Atlas for New Hires.

Run the Report
