MIT is committed to supporting employees during times when they may need to be away from work due to a life event or medical emergency.
Learn about Leaves and Sick Time
MIT provides paid leaves to most employees when they are unable to work due to injury, serious health conditions, or maternity. Eligible employees may also take paid leave to care for a family member with a serious health condition or for bonding with a new child. The policies differ for benefits-eligible staff and for non-benefits eligible staff.
