Bobby Pelletier

Technical Staff
Group 59, Cyber Systems Assessments, Lincoln Laboratory
Award presented by
Eric Evans, Director, Lincoln Laboratory

Our next Bringing out the Best award goes to Bobby Pelletier, a key technical staff member in MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Cyber System Assessments Group. He manages one of the group’s largest government-sponsored programs—a high-ranking program that earned an average score of 5 out of 5…based on its national impact and research quality.

But as celebrated as Bobby is for his technical accomplishments, it’s his ability to build and nurture a strong team that has earned him this award. Many of his colleagues wrote in support of his nomination. Here’s an excerpt from one of those letters:

“I’ve worked on many teams with many principal investigators, but I am confident in saying Bobby has been the best. He serves in a management role, but I feel we are a team. It’s because we all feel open to communicate. Bobby makes a point of taking everyone’s opinions seriously, regardless of their experience or staff level. He’s a selfless manager, always singling out individuals for their efforts. He cares about his coworkers’ well-being—even if their needs conflict with the project he manages. Just having Bobby around promotes the kind of work culture I think we all strive for: technical excellence, dedication to the mission, and superb, caring leadership.”

Bobby, congratulations on your well-deserved Excellence Award.
