Dieter Willner

The Executive of the Measurement and Signature Intelligence Committee commended Dieter Willner for his exemplary service, citing his keen insights, leadership, professionalism, and dedication. In nearly three decades at the Lab, this Senior Staff member in the Intelligence, Test and Evaluation Group has ensured that Air Force technical intelligence radar sensors perform at their peak. Largely due to his expert technical oversight and tireless effort, the Air Force acquired three new radar systems and accomplished major modernization and upgrade programs. Beyond his world-class engineering talents, reputation for delivering outstanding products at critical times, and benefit to the National Missile Defense, National Policy-making, Arms Control and Force Modernization communities, he deserves recognition for developing staff, identifying future leaders, and leading by superb example. After opting to move from being Group Leader to a technical position, he still supports sponsors and assists group leaders across the Lab and excels at mentoring younger scientists. This award for Serving the Client through ongoing contributions to Lincoln Laboratory belongs to Dieter Willner.
