Our Program Policies

Seminars are free of charge and open to all members of the MIT community, including faculty, staff, postdocs, students, and spouses/partners.

Registration is required so that we can plan appropriate seating and notify you in the event of a room change or last-minute cancellation.

Although many events are scheduled to run from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., those participants with restricted lunch hours or other commitments are welcome to leave early.

Child care: We can generally accommodate children at our Choosing Quality Child Care sessions, provided attendees take responsibility for their care. However, we regret that we cannot accommodate children or provide child care at other Work-Life seminars. If you need help finding someone to care for your child while you attend one of our programs, you may contact Care@Work for backup child care.

Bringing lunch: For Work-Life programs, participants are welcome to bring their lunch.

Cancelations: Please be sure to inform Work-Life at 617-253-1592 or worklife-seminars@mit.edu, if you are not able to attend.

Senior Care Advising

MIT's expanded Adult & Senior Care Services through Care.com can provide you with the help you need in caring for an elderly family member or an adult with physical or other challenges.
