Alessandra Davy-Falconi

Administrative Assistant
MIT Media Lab, School of Architecture and Planning
Serving our Community
Award presented by
Ramona Allen, Vice President for Human Resources

I would like to tell you about Alessandra Davy-Falconi. She is an administrative assistant at the MIT Media Lab, and she very rapidly became indispensable after she assumed the role in 2019. Alessandra coordinates the operations of a large team of staff, employees, and students — but she also makes time to organize conferences, celebrations, and social events, provide essential input for grant proposals, communicate expertly with celebrities, diplomats, and donors, and do some writing, such as an article for The Atlantic on how we value and define people by their jobs. It is no small feat to get published in The Atlantic!

Alessandra is dedicated to the needs of others, from their research projects to their personal challenges. As one colleague said, “Alessandra is a pillar of leadership and support at the Media Lab. Her dedication to our community far exceeds the boundaries of her role.”
