Our next Excellence Award for Outstanding Contributor goes to Tianjiao Lei, formerly a post-doc in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Tianjiao joined the department just over a year ago, but in that time her colleagues say that she became “a remarkable force for community coherence in our corner of MIT.”
In a facility where high-end tools and equipment must be shared, Tianjiao stood out, not only for her expertise, but her willingness to assist other users. One nominator told us that “Her collaborative efforts have not only expanded the scope of research within the field, but have also fostered a culture of knowledge-sharing and teamwork.”
While nearly impossible to sum up her contributions in a few words, one of her colleagues gave it a try: “Tianjiao has shown a selfless dedication to her peers. She possesses a remarkable commitment to collaboration and service, working seamlessly with diverse teams on important research.”
