The next Outstanding Contributor you will meet today is Sarah E. Willis from the Lincoln Laboratory. Sarah is a scientific advisor stationed at an MIT field site in the Marshall Islands—way out there in the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the Philippines. Her colleagues say that “Sarah's productivity and technical excellence are unmatched, she is a pleasure to work with, and she is an inspirational force to other members of her team.”
And she appears to be everywhere at once. One moment, she’s solving formidable technical problems at the field station. The next, she is engaging remotely with school children half a world away at Lincoln Laboratory. We could talk for a long time about all the things that Sarah has done to deserve this award…or we could welcome her with a rousing round of applause.
Here, live and in person from the Marshall Islands, is Sarah Willis!
