Today we are honoring Farrah A. Belizaire, the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Program Officer in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, McGovern Institute for Brain Research, and Picower Institute for Learning and Memory. After just two years on the job, her colleagues say that Farrah has enlivened and transformed the culture of these communities. She has amplified DEIJ values through newsletters, an engaging website, and a rich and well-attended series of workshops and events.
One of her coworkers shared this: “Farrah’s approach to her work has been deeply collaborative, but not mired in process. Her leadership has brought our community closer together in important ways. She merits recognition for her remarkable accomplishments.”
