Eileen Ng

Assistant Dean for Administration
Schwarzman College of Computing
Bringing Out the Best
Award presented by
Chancellor Melissa Nobles

Our next Bringing Out the Best recipient is Eileen Ng from the MIT Stephen A. Schwarzman College of Computing. The most significant structural change to MIT in nearly 75 years, the College of Computing spans all five schools. Almost everything about it is new.

As Assistant Dean for Administration, Eileen oversaw the transfer of five departments, labs, and centers to the College of Computing…and worked with more than two dozen colleagues to orchestrate that transfer—which affected hundreds of employees. At the same time, she has been managing daily operations, long-term planning, finances, grants, and human resources.

As one of her colleagues shared, "Eileen is a wise…and a calming presence. I depend on her sage advice…which makes it easy to resolve seemingly impossible situations. She is always happy to be helpful even though she is working so hard to make the College a success. Eileen is an incredible leader, making all of our efforts stronger because of her involvement."

Congratulations, Eileen!
