Sandra Deneault

Project Technician
Group 81, Chemical, Microsystem and Nanoscale Technologies
Award presented by
Chancellor Cynthia Barnhart

Our next honoree in the Outstanding Contributor category is Sandra Deneault, a project technician at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Sandra has contributed to the success of a wide variety of programs in semiconductor device and process development, optical devices, and chemical sensing. Those successes have had a considerable impact on several groups in Divisions 8 and 4.

Her colleagues say that during her 30 years at the Institute—YES, 30 YEARS—Sandra’s work has been and remains a key factor in MIT’s ability to provide one of the country’s best analysis labs for explosives. The Department of Homeland Security, FBI, and Department of Defense all rely on that excellence.

Here’s just one excerpt from the praise shared by her colleagues:

“Sandy works diligently, deliberately, and with precision. She gladly accepts even the most daunting tasks with a high degree of enthusiasm and professionalism. Her continual good cheer, admirable work ethic, and high level of technical excellence make her presence on a research team an instant morale boost to all involved.”

Congratulations, Sandra for your Excellence Award!
