Research Laboratory of Electronics
Serving the Client
For over forty years at MIT, and currently as the Assistant Director for Administration for the Research Laboratory of Electronics Joseph F. Connelly has taken a ‘can-do’ attitude that has enabled faculty, researchers, and students to succeed in their endeavors. In senior roles in an MIT enterprise unit and as lead administrator in four major academic research laboratories and centers, he has never compromised his high standards. In the last five years, RLE has seen six major renovations and innumerable smaller ones, along with current projects. Under this man’s steadfast stewardship of precious resources, no project ran over budget. When RLE needs laboratories and offices built on time, this man delivers. He serves staff, investigators, and all others in renovations, consistently displaying sensitivity about space issues. His concern for faculty and students never flags, and his devotion to providing an effective and welcoming environment for scholars never abates. Faculty commend his efficiency, judgment, tirelessness, and sense of humor. For his breadth of responsibilities and dedicated citizenship at MIT, we celebrate Joseph F. Connolly for Serving the Client.
