Information on Deemed Retirement for Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
If you have reached RMD age (i.e., age 73 if you were born on or after 1/1/1951) and worked part-time earning less than $10,000 in a calendar year, you will be deemed retired as of January 1 of the following calendar year for plan distribution purpose. As a result, you will be required to begin the RMD process under the applicable retirement plans (e.g., the 401(k), 457(b), and Pension Plans).
