Leading Change
The team award in "Leading Change" goes to a team that is, at this very moment, enabling colleagues at Lincoln Lab to be here with us via teleconferencing. Among the full range of production and post -production video services that the MIT Video Productions team provides is the novel design and operation of Level 5 classrooms for distance learning. The services they provide are central to MIT's core mission. Recent articles have been published in high tech magazines, bringing MIT to center stage nationally as a leader in the rapidly growing arena of distance learning and technology-enabled education. The increased technical sophistication that the team brings enables them to serve its growing list of clients even more fully. Their clients range from President Vest to large organizations in need of educational technology to parents of undergraduates requesting a videotape of their child's graduation. As a testimonial to their abilities, MIT Video Productions is known for its "Ritz-Carleton five star service." Numerous clients comment on how smoothly and seamlessly their events have gone because of the dedication and professionalism of this team. As they work together to organize very technically -complicated events, they are able to capture the essence and spirit of the occasion. The team's insistence on quality and their dedication to improving channels of communication remain central to their work. One client wrote : "We can always count on them to put forth their very best efforts to meet deadlines, budget and client expectations." Inspired by the visionary leadership of Larry Gallagher, everyone on the team has a "can-do" attitude and a keen sense of what it means to be a team." On behalf of the MIT community, it is our honor to present this MIT Excellence Award for Leading Change to the MIT Video Productions Team.
