Most agree that finding ways to fairly share responsibilities at home is very important to feeling satisfied for couples who are married or living together. An ongoing conflict between parents isn’t great for kids. Let’s dig into these differing views and identify what works for both partners. Everybody loses out when we don’t have equity, and everybody needs to participate in recalibrating how we do things to reach equality. Join us for an enlightening conversation and discover a new, highly effective approach to solving the persistent challenge of equity in household tasks.

Our Peace At Home Parenting Solutions experts Aaron Weintraub M.S., and Tanika Eaves, Ph.D., L.C.S.W., IMH-E®, will provide you with the tools to create a more balanced and harmonious partnership with less tension over daily life and more room for fun and fulfillment.

Please note: This workshop is open to all participants, regardless of your relationship status. The content will acknowledge and respect the diversity of relationships and family structures.

After this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Recognize your beliefs and expectations about roles and their impact on your relationship
  •  Identify the basic principles and strategies that empower couples to achieve a fair division of household and family responsibilities
  • Apply practical tools in your own relationships and effectively navigate the negotiation and communication processes
  • Identify strategies to maintain long-term harmony in household and family dynamics, even as circumstances change

Presenters: Tanika Eaves, Ph.D.; L.C.S.W., IMH-E; Assistant Professor of Social Work, Fairfield University Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies
