Boundaries are essential guardrails for healthy relationships, including financial ones. Financial boundaries help individuals practice self-care. But boundaries aren’t just about saying “no.” They’re also about learning to say “yes” with enthusiasm and learning tips to make money conversations go more smoothly. In this session, participants will engage in practical exercises to identify their own financial guardrails and practice real-world scenarios for talking about money. This interactive workshop will provide tools and strategies to help participants confidently support their financial health, while respecting their cultural and individual norms.

This webinar is for:

  • People looking to improve their financial boundary-setting skills
  • Those navigating uncomfortable financial dynamics in their family or community
  • People who struggle to say “no” and want guidance and support learning to uphold their boundaries

Key takeaways:

  • Define what boundaries and financial boundaries are
  • Understand why most personal finance advice about boundaries misses the mark when it comes to individual and cultural norms
  • Brainstorm different ways to say “no” with assertiveness and “yes” with enthusiasm to different financial situations

Two copies of Lindsay Bryan-Podvin's book, The Financial Anxiety Solution, will be given away to randomly selected participants who attend the webinar. A brief form will be shared during the session to enter the drawing.

Presenter: Lindsay Bryan-Podvin, L.M.S.W.; Owner and Founder, Mind Money Balance
