This presentation will highlight the stories of individuals from the MIT community who have found a sense of purpose and meaning in the midst of emotional or physical hardship. Dr. Jackson will speak about the evolution of his photo essay, Portraits of Resilience, which was born following a spate of suicides on the MIT campus in 2015, and from his wish to capture the stories of those who have overcome mental health challenges. The purpose of this seminar is to leave you with a sense of hope, connectedness, and inspiration.
