Change my address

Active employees

Make changes to your MIT or home addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses in the Personal Information page under About Me in Atlas. 

Former employees, retirees, and employees on long term disability leave

Use this form for address changes by all former MIT faculty and staff, all MIT and Lincoln Laboratory retirees, and all MIT and Lincoln Laboratory employees on Long Term Disability Leave.

MITemps employees and students

HR does not maintain any records of employees paid by MITemps or student employees. MITemps employees should contact their department HR representative. Undergraduate and graduate students (including Research and Teaching Assistants) can update their address information on WebSIS and contact the Registrar's Office, 5-119, for name changes.

If you need help changing other information in the MIT Directory, email the IS&T Service Desk.

Change my name

Active employees

Use the Name Change form to let us know about a legal change in your name or the name of a dependent.

You can change how your name appears in the MIT Directory by going to the Personal Information page under About Me in Atlas. If you need help changing other information in the MIT Directory, email the IS&T Service Desk.

If your name is misspelled in the system:

Please contact the HR/Payroll office at payroll@mit.edu or by calling 617-253-4255.

Others
  • Undergraduate and graduate students can update their name by contacting the Registrar's Office, 5-119.
  • Regular active Lincoln Laboratory staff should contact the Lincoln Laboratory Human Resources Department.
  • MITemps employees should contact their department Administrative Officer.

Change my benefits

To cancel or make a change to your MIT benefits coverage, use Atlas during the annual Open Enrollment period.

If you experience a change in your life — marriage, partner's job loss, disability, new baby, change in Medicaid status or insurance coverage — you can make changes to your benefits outside the Open Enrollment period. Find out which life events qualify you to make changes to your benefits and the time frame for making those changes.

If you are no longer employed at MIT, you can access your W-2 Form through ADP. See Payroll information and Tax Forms for Inactive and Retired Employees for instructions.

Change my MIT ID, Atlas access, or SAP roles or authorizations

Access to Atlas and MIT ID questions are managed by the IS&T Service Desk. Please contact them for assistance.

Employees with questions related to database roles and authorizations should contact business-help@mit.edu.

Talk to my Human Resources Officer

MIT's Human Resources Officers (HROs) consult with employees and managers on issues affecting work, job performance, annual reviews, training, hiring practices, leaves of absence, discipline, compensation, harassment or discrimination concerns, layoffs, reorganizations, and conflict resolution. Find your HRO.

Verify employment

If you are an active or former MIT employee who is applying for a loan or credit card, signing a lease, undergoing a background check, applying for student loan forgiveness, or otherwise need proof of employment or income, you or your lender must contact CCC Verify, MIT's employment verifier directly.
