Our first awardee was an unstoppable advocate for reuse and sustainability long before they were fashionable – and frankly, before most people knew what “sustainability” even meant. An extraordinarily capable administrative assistant at CSAIL, she is also the lab’s go-to person for everything you need to know about sustainable practices at MIT. She helped the lab adopt single-stream recycling and continually works to reroute materials away from the trash and make them useful again.
Described as “an excellent role model and positive influence,” she has inspired many at CSAIL through her caring, compassionate and responsible ethic of environmental stewardship. By ensuring the lab is well supplied with Tech Trash boxes, recycling bins and re-use drop spots, she makes it easy for everyone to do their part. Thanks to her tireless promotion of sustainable practices, in the culture of CSAIL, green is “in.”
Congratulations, Britton Bradley, and thank you for Greening MIT.
