Last spring, Community Giving at MIT and the Community Service Fund established the Covid-19 Neighborhood Response Fund, which supports six Cambridge organizations in addressing food insecurity, unemployment, and homelessness – all problems that have been exacerbated by the pandemic.
The Community Service Fund (CSF) also provided rapid response grants, supporting a student working to refine a low-cost ventilator for rural use, and a team of MIT volunteers who produced and distributed personal protective equipment – including thousands of face coverings – to local hospitals, nonprofits, and individuals.
The generosity of MIT’s faculty and staff fuels the CSF. Please consider a donation to the CSF or Neighborhood Response Fund, via payroll deduction or credit card, by visiting the “Charitable Contributions” page on Atlas. Whatever organization you select will receive 100% of your donation. If you have already contributed, thank you!
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Community Giving at MIT.
