Create Your Professional Narrative: Storytelling for Career Confidence (A Two-Part Workshop)

Building: E25-202

PresenterKirsty Bennett, M.A.; Manager, MIT Women’s League

Have you ever been to a networking event or work function where someone asks, “So, what do you do?” and your mind goes…blank? If so, join us for this interactive workshop, which will introduce storytelling techniques to help you effectively communicate, structure ideas, and spin a captivating tale about who you are and how you operate, where you are coming from and where you are going. You will learn how to:

  • Break down a story into its key elements
  • Define your professional path and develop your narrative
  • Confidently share your career and accomplishments with others

Participants must attend both sessions in order to take part in the program, and will be asked to complete a few short personal assignments in between sessions. Please be sure that you are willing to make this commitment before registering for this session as space is limited.
