The first Excellence Award for Serving the Client goes to Robin Deadrick, Human Resources Administrator at the MIT Libraries. Robin serves a department of 160-plus people, and has been instrumental in helping the Libraries achieve excellence. Robin navigates the complex human resource environment with wisdom, flexibility, and grace. She is:

  • a marketing whiz in her recruitment efforts,
  • a skilled diplomat when it comes to personnel challenges,
  • an innovator in boosting morale,
  • a wise and caring counselor to those in need.

As one of Robin’s colleagues said, “The MIT Libraries is an extraordinary place to work because Robin has been here throughout our evolution, providing the ongoing support we need to be our very best.”

Another colleague noted, “Robin’s genuine interest in everyone’s welfare and her willingness to do whatever it takes to make us feel valued—personally and professionally—helps to make MIT the remarkable place it is.”

Congratulations, Robin, on your Excellence Award!
